Compliance Meets Customer Experience
The EMC Documentum solution for compliant statement archiving and presentment captures statements directly from line-of-business systems, creating digital archives that can be managed directly through the industry-leading Documentum repository. Customer portals (e.g. banking portals) can leverage these archives to furnish XML/HTML statement summaries and render full-fidelity PDF statements to the customer.
The solution extracts optimized metadata from each archived document, enabling the content to be classified and searched. At the time of storage, applications can use this metadata to apply policies for foldering, security, retention, lifecycle and workflow. As a result, terabytes of data can be correctly classified and managed by any relevant application.
Financial services institutions can easily configure document retention and disposition policies behind the scenes to meet regulatory challenges. These policies can be easily and automatically applied and enforced at the platform level across all content types, including PDF, enterprise wide. You can bring content under control and into compliance, reducing your organization’s risk, storage and discovery costs.
And to improve the customer experience, the solution leverages Document Sciences' (an EMC Company) xPression to produce high-value personalized statements that are well-designed and clearly communicate all account activity, making it easier for customers, and easier for banking institutions to attract and retain valuable clients.
